UnityWorks

Bringing The Other Tradition into America's classrooms — where the next generation of bridge-builders is shaped.

When students see themselves in the story of racial solidarity, everything changes.

UnityWorks is the National Center for Race Amity's flagship educational initiative — a comprehensive K-12 program that brings America's hidden history of interracial friendship and cooperation into classrooms across the country.

When young people discover that the story of race in America isn't only one of division and injustice — but also of remarkable friendship, solidarity, and courage — they see new possibilities for who they can be.

What Is UnityWorks?

UnityWorks delivers "The Other Tradition" — NCRA's award-winning documentary series — into schools through a complete educational package: films, lesson plans, discussion guides, student workbooks, and facilitator training for teachers.

The program is designed to complement and enrich existing social studies and history curricula, not replace them. Students encounter the full complexity of American history — including both its injustices and its examples of courageous interracial partnership.

Free to Title I schools. No school should be excluded from this history because of budget constraints.
